Closing remarks -


Now what shall be said to those who are not strangers and foreigners? Oh! you dwell in a land where you find some sort of repose, but I have heavy tidings for you. This land in which you dwell, and all the works thereof, must be burned up. The city of which you, who have never been converted to Christ, are citizens, is the City of Destruction, and as is its name such shall be its end. The king will send his armies against that wicked city and destroy it, and if you are citizens of it you will lose all you have--you will lose your souls, you will lose yourselves.

"Whither away?" saith one. "Where can I find comfort then, and security?" You must do as Lot did when the angels pressed him and said, "Haste to the mountain, lest thou be consumed."

The mountain of safety is Calvary. Where Jesus died, there you shall live. There is death everywhere else, but there is life in his death. Oh! fly to him! "But how?" saith one.

Trust him.

God gave his Son, equal with himself, to bear the burdens of human sin, and he died a substitute for sinners, a real substitute, an efficient substitute for all who trust in him.

If thou wilt trust thy soul with Jesus, thou art saved. Thy sin was laid on him. It is forgiven thee. It was blotted out when he nailed the handwriting of ordinances to his cross. Trust him now and ye are saved.

That is, you shall henceforth become a stranger and a pilgrim, and in the better land you shall find the rest which you never shall find here, and need not wish to find, for the land is polluted. Let us away from it.

The curse has fallen. Let us get away to the uncursed and ever blessed, where Jesus Christ dwells for ever. God add his blessing on these words for Christ's sake. Amen.

Kill a child for Christmas: Planned Parenthood offers gift certificates that can be used for abortions

Planned Parenthood of Indianapolis is offering gift certificates for Christmas, which can be used towards the cost of an abortion.

The Associated Press reports:
“The group, a network of 35 clinics, decided to offer the vouchers because so many people are uninsured or are putting off health care because of prohibitive costs, said Betty Cockrum, its president. About 800,000 Indiana residents do not have health insurance, Ms. Cockrum said.
“Planned Parenthood’s checkups, which include Pap tests and breast exams, typically cost $58. The vouchers can be used for those exams, medication, birth control and other services,” including abortions.

A spokesperson for the group suggests people aren’t likely to use the certificates at any of the organization’s three abortion clinics, though doesn’t explain why. And why not? If you’re going to abort a child, why not get help with the financing? Especially over the busy holiday period.

THANKSGIVING FORECAST

Turkeys will thaw in the morning, then warm in the oven to an
afternoon high near 190F. The kitchen will turn hot and humid, and if
you bother the cook, be ready for a severe squall or cold shoulder.

During the late afternoon and evening, the cold front of a knife will
slice through the turkey, causing an accumulation of one to two
inches on plates. Mashed potatoes will drift across one side while
cranberry sauce creates slippery spots on the other.

A weight watch and indigestion warning have been issued for the
entire area, with increased stuffiness around the beltway. During the
evening, the turkey will diminish and taper off to leftovers,
dropping to a low of 34F in the refrigerator.

Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, high pressure to eat sandwiches
will be established. Flurries of leftovers can be expected both days
with a 50 percent chance of scattered soup late in the day. We expect
a warming trend where soup develops. By early next week, eating
pressure will be low as the only wish left will be the bone.

This past week were privileged to have the Lawrence Lindsay family
from Pontotoc, MS, visit us at the Lighthouse in Costa Rica. They

(or DVD) when Dad's not looking. Make sure it is set to the last two

and turn on the regular TV.

4. Bring a date that only talks about the tragic and abusive

1 Thess. 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will

When the American pilgrims celebrated three days of thanksgiving in
1621 they were doing what came naturally for them: honoring God in
the daily course of events. Many had perished. Food was scarce. Their
Indian neighbors were hostile. But they survived. It only seemed
normal to them to give God thanks. They weren't instituting a public
holiday—they were manifesting a lifestyle of gratitude.

In the Old Testament, seven days were set aside for feasts of
thanksgiving. In 1621, three days were set aside. Today, we set
aside one day—and spend most of that day focused on food and
football. A national day of Thanksgiving is certainly better than
none at all, but how much better would be if every person lived a
life of gratitude toward God—365 days a year.

God is never less than generous, even when we are less than grateful.

When I was a young turkey, new to the coop,

My big brother Mike took me out on the stoop,

Then he sat me down, and he spoke real slow,

in a submissive spirit: “Thy will be done on earth”,

The prayer embraces every relationship.

There is a striking symmetry in its structure. It commences with an invocation and concludes with a doxology; between these are six petitions.

THE CALVINIST ELECT SHEEP

Calvinists seek to buffalo and bewilder their opposition with their
favorite word “elect,” which means CHOSEN in any context and is used in
various contexts of scripture for various reasons and with various
personages doing the election or choosing, including God, and various
recipients receiving the election, including Christ Himself, the saved,
Israel, and even lost Judas.


Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God
that justifieth.


Tit 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ,
according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth
[of the elect] which is after godliness;


Eph 2:1-3 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and
sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this
world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that
now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had
our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the
desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others.


The consideration that requires serious attention is the Calvinist
contention that there exists elect folks before they ever believe,
repent, are regenerated, or are saved, the prospective elect.

In response to the question who can lay anything to the charge of God’s elect, I say
that I can lay a charge against any person that is lost or unsaved, elect
or no, since the scriptures tells me that they are by nature the children
of wrath and dead in trespasses and sins. Is there such a thing as the
unsaved elect? Absolutely not!


Romans 8:33 states that the elect have faith. To be one of the elect, you must have faith and acknowledge the truth. The non-elect or the so called prospective elect cannot do this.



The Sheep versus the Goats

Mat 25:32, 33 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall
separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the
goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the
left.


One need not be around TULIP Calvinists very long until he hears their
talking points in regard to the elect being called the sheep and the
non-elect being called the goats with this distinction before even the
sheep are saved, the goats not being able to be saved. The proof texts
that are used are passages from the end of the tribulation time frame and
the second coming in glory time frame.

It does not take a rocket scientist to know that the Calvinist is operating in the wrong
eschatological time frame in which the sheep and goat nations are being
discussed and not the elect sheep and non-elect goats in regard to
individual salvation. Of course, if the Calvinist is prepared to advocate
“cup of water” salvation, we may well bear with him.


The Sheep

Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.


Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep
of the house of Israel. John 10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is
the shepherd of the sheep.


The whole house of Israel is referred to as LOST SHEEP. They are never
referred to as goats even though there are those among Israel that never
will be saved and will remain lost. Is there such a thing as being lost
sheep by virtue of being in the house of Israel sheepfold and being the
Lord’s saved sheep by virtue of believing?


The Distinction of the Lost Sheep of Israel versus My Sheep

John 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas,
lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love
thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

John 10:3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 15, 16, 26, 27 To him the porter openeth; and
the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and
leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth
before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. . . .

Then said Jesus . . . I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All
that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not
hear them . . . I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life
for the sheep . . .

As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the
Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep . . . And other sheep I
have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall
hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd . . . But ye
believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you . . . My
sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:


The Calvinist is face with a disturbing dilemma here.

Did Christ die for ALL the SHEEP of Israel or only HIS SHEEP, since the Calvinist contends
that Christ died only for the elect. The non-elect sheep must then be
goats and not sheep. Still, must the sheep enter through the door to be
sheep?

Certain of Israel were condemned as not being of the Lord’s sheep,
since they had not believed. So, can someone be the Lord’s sheep without
believing. I trow not! To compound the Calvinist dilemma, Peter is
instructed to feed “MY SHEEP.” Was Peter to feed lost sheep or saved
sheep?



Jesus Elected a Devil

John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen [1586] you twelve, and
one of you is a devil?

John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen [1586]: but
that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath
lifted up his heel against me.


John 15:16 Ye have not chosen [elected 1586] me, but I have chosen
[elected 1586] you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth
fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of
the Father in my name, he may give it you.


John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but
because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen [1586] you out of the
world, therefore the world hateth you.

Did Jesus ELECT (CHOOSE) a devil?

Was Judas a sheep of the house of Israel?
Was Judas saved?
Was Judas one of the ELECT due to being elected by Jesus and then lost?

Where did the apostles’ election take place? In time or eternity? Before the world or out of the world? Did God ELECT the foolish and base things of the world or the foolish and base things of
eternity?


What about Being Chosen before the Foundation of the World?

According as he hath chosen [1586] us IN HIM before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the
glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. –
Eph. 1:4 -6


We understand that the Lord’s work was finished from the foundation of
the world and that the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.
Still, you can’t be chosen unless you are chosen IN HIM and that is IN
TIME and not eternity.

Yes, chosen before the foundation of the world, because the WORD existed before the foundation of the world, but the elect did not exist then. The only way that we could be loved before the
foundation of the world is for Christ to be loved by the father before
the foundation of the world.

In Christ, we inherit these attributes and benefits but NOT UNTIL we are IN CHRIST. And we get IN CHRIST by repenting and believing. But let us take this Calvinist proof text a step
further. Why were we chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world?

To be saved? No!

Rather THAT WE CHOSEN SHOULD BE HOLY and WITHOUT BLAME
before Him. We are accepted ONLY IN the beloved. The Chosen in Christ are
predestined the adoption of children and to be conformed to His image.

All across America for sale signs dot the landscape as the American economy faces adverse times. Many of these signs include the words, reduced price at the bottom. Unfortunately, many professing Fundamentalist preachers are putting up similar signs concerning their ministries that read in effect: For Sale to the highest bidder.

Some preachers are selling themselves to men. The goal of some preachers seems to be gaining endorsements from prominent New-Evangelical figures. To gain such recognition, these men are selling out their convictions for a morsel of worldly approval.

Some preachers are selling themselves to movements. Seeking advancement on the ecclesiastical ladder, some preachers are linking up with the latest in movement. To advance their ego status, they will associate themselves with popular compromising organizations to further their ego status.

Some preachers are selling themselves to music trends. To expand crowds, some preachers are lowering their musical standards and catering to sensual worship concepts. Loud drum beats, constantly slurred notes, nearly swallowed microphones, and pro-night-club dominate their services.

Some preachers are selling themselves for Meetings. To obtain more meetings, some preachers (evangelists) are preaching only non-controversial themes, avoiding all references to popular worldly practices and soft-pedaling sin to gain more crowds.

Some preachers are selling themselves for money. While it may be necessary to engage in a secular avocation to maintain one's spiritual vocation, some preachers are abandoning their real calling, placing the ministry on the back burner and devoting themselves to materialistic oriented pursuits.

Some preachers are selling themselves to missionary agencies. Some preachers are regarding para-church missionary agencies as untouchable idols to which they give their unquestioned loyalty despite compromising, New-Evangelical hierarchical trends.

Some preachers are selling themselves to manuscripts, endorsing and utilizing the latest modern versions, despite unbiblical alterations, doctrinal deletions and numerous unreliable changes. Whatever version the carnal Christians call for is the one they will use.

There are also some preachers who will not do anything without the approval of a local ecclesiastical Fundamentalist boss or the acceptance of the school they attended.

Praise God, there is a faithful band of remnant preachers who are not for sale at any price to any group or movement. Though their ministries are unheralded and unrecognized, they cannot be bought by fear, flattery or favours.

Sprucekings score goal # 7

We took some of our youth to a BCJr. Hockey game last night. Salamon Arm Sliverbacks against PG Sprucekings was a great and high scoring game. The Sprucekings lost by a score of 9 to 7, but it was a very exciting game nonetheless.

The 'kings might have lost but we won. Regena, run into a family who made professions of faith at Spruceland Baptist Church some 8 years ago and have moved. Debbie, Adam, Bailey and family moved back to PG from Fort St. John, and was wondering about Spruceland Baptist Church.

We were meeting at CNC when they attended Spruceland Baptist Church before. Now we meet in an industral storefront, just two blocks from the college.

Lord, willing we should see them all on Sunday morning.

A man in Florida calls his son in West Virginia two days before Thanksgiving and says, "I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; 36 years of misery is enough."


"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.


"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," the father says.. "We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Las Vegas and tell her."


Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. "Like heck they're getting divorced,' she shouts, 'I'll take care of this."


She calls Florida immediately, and screams at her father, "You are NOT getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?" and hangs up.


The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife.


"Okay Charlene" he says, "they're coming for Thanksgiving
and paying their own way."

Beware of the "Originals Only" cult

Some have question if I believe that the ‘originals’ were ‘perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant’?

The answer is YES, I do believe that the ‘originals’ were ‘perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant’.

I also believe that the ‘copies’ of the ‘originals’ were ‘perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant’.

The scripture in which my cousin, who was my Sunday School teacher was from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. He walked with me down the Roman’s Road, I saw that I was a sinner in need of a savour. That day September 15, 1963 I put my faith in the LORD Jesus Christ to forgive my sin and be my personal saviour.

Can You Find Him??

THE TRICK IS TO FIND THE MAN IN THE COFFEE BEANS:

This is bizarre - after you find the guy - it's so obvious.. Once you find him - it's embarrassing, and you think, Why didn't I see him immediately?

Doctors have concluded that if you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, the right half of your brain is better developed than most people.

If you find the man between 3 seconds and 1 minute, the right half of the brain is developed normally.

If you find the man between 1 minute and 3 minutes, then the right half of your brain is functioning slowly and you need to eat more protein

If you have not found the man after 3 minutes, the advice is to look for more of this type of exercise to make that part of the brain stronger!!!

And, yes, the man is really there!!!

BORN AGAIN UNBELIEVERS?

Under Calvin’s system of belief, there can be no condition other than an unwritten pre-Adamic decree of God (unconditional election). Total depravity, under this cold, dead theological system, means TOTAL INABILITY to do anything for salvation, including repentance and faith. The ABSURD corollary to all this is their insistence that a man is REGENERATED or has LIFE BEFORE he repents or believes. We shall examine this anti-Christian, anti-Bible doctrine and its implications.


Regeneration Before Faith?


. . .that BELIEVING YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE through his name. -- John 20:31


. . . he that BELIEVETH NOT the Son SHALL NOT SEE LIFE . . . -- John 3:36


. . . to them which should hereafter BELIEVE on him TO LIFE everlasting. -- 1 Tim. 1:16


For ye are all the CHILDREN of God BY FAITH in Christ Jesus. -- Gal. 3:26


Regeneration or being born again, most would agree, means that a sinner, dead in trespasses and sins, becomes alive spiritually as a child of God. Our texts DEMAND that faith or belief precedes said life or regeneration. That presents a problem to those, who would have the elect regenerated BEFORE FAITH, unless they are prepared to argue regeneration BEFORE life, regeneration BEFORE becoming a child of God, or regeneration WITHOUT life.


Regeneration Before—Repentance, Conversion, Remission of Sins?


REPENT ye therefore, and BE CONVERTED, THAT YOUR SINS may be blotted out . . . -- Acts 3:19


. . . through his name whosoever BELIEVETH in him SHALL RECEIVE REMISSION OF SINS. -- Acts 10:43


. . . they should REPENT and TURN TO GOD, and do works meet for repentance.
-- Acts 26:20


. . . Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance UNTO LIFE . . . -- Acts 11:18


Repentance is UNTO LIFE and not life unto repentance, regardless whether God grants it and what the Calvinist spin is on that. Repentance precedes conversion and both precede regeneration and the remission of sins. Since remission of sins and conversion or turning to God all hinge on previous repentance, it follows that they all must precede regeneration or life. Unless a Calvinist is prepared to argue life without the remission of one’s sins because one is of the elect.



Regeneration Before Coming to or Having the Son?


And ye will not COME TO ME, that ye MIGHT HAVE LIFE. -- John 5:40


. . . and THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON. He that HATH the Son HATH LIFE; and he that HATH NOT the Son of God HATH NOT LIFE. -- 1 John 5:11,12


The term "coming to Jesus" is repugnant to many of Calvin’s disciples. Still, it remains a Bible condition and is a prerequisite for LIFE or REGENERATION. Life is in the Son of God and not in election or some unwritten, pre-adamic decree. You must come to the Son, and you must POSSESS or HAVE the Son or you do not have LIFE or REGENERATION. If one were already regenerated, having life, it would be totally unnecessary to repent and believe unto salvation or have one’s sins remitted.



Regeneration Before Faith and Righteousness?


But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS. -- Rom. 4:5


To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him WHICH BELIEVETH in Jesus. -- Rom. 3:26


. . . I am not come to call the RIGHTEOUS, but sinners TO REPENTANCE.
-- Matt. 9:13


. . . the NEW MAN, which after God is CREATED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS and true holiness. -- Eph. 4:24


Faith precedes justification and righteousness and repentance, conversion, and remission of sins precede righteousness and holiness, therefore LIFE or regeneration cannot precede repentance, faith, justification, holiness, nor righteousness. Since the new man is created in righteousness, regeneration cannot precede the new creature, neither righteousness, nor TRUE HOLINESS.


Regeneration Before Salvation?


For by grace are ye saved THROUGH FAITH . . . -- Eph. 2:8


Receiving the END OF YOUR FAITH, even the SALVATION of your souls.
-- 1 Pet. 1:9


. . .WITHOUT FAITH it is IMPOSSIBLE to please him . . . -- Heb. 11:6


And he said to the woman, THY FAITH HATH SAVED THEE . . . -- Luke 7:50



If regeneration or life or the new birth precedes faith, it also must precede salvation of the soul, for salvation is the END OF FAITH—not the beginning of faith. Faith and salvation are not the END of regeneration. We believe in being saved by the CONDITION OF FAITH! We do not regenerate to the saving of the soul. Faith saves, not regeneration.


Regeneration Before Holy Spirit Possession?


He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost SINCE YE BELIEVED? -- Acts 19:2


Now if any man HAVE NOT the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS. -- Rom. 8:9


For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye . . . have received the Spirit of adoption . . . The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs . . . -- Rom. 8:14-17


Romans 8:9 takes care of both Charismatics and Calvinists. If one is a child of God by faith in Christ Jesus and the Holy Ghost cannot be in anyone but a child of God, then regeneration CANNOT precede having Holy Spirit. Unless the Calvinist is prepared to argue having the Holy Spirit before repentance, conversion, remission of sins, faith, righteousness, holiness, salvation, eternal life, and possessing the Son.



Conclusion


. . .God from the beginning CHOSEN [ELECTED] you to salvation THROUGH SANCTIFICATION of the Spirit and BELIEF of the truth. — 2 Thess. 2:13


Thus far, if we are to believe our Sovereign Grace Calvinists, if you care to swallow it, we have the preposterous situation of a regenerated, unrepentant, unholy, unjustified, unrighteous, SON-LESS, unconverted, unturned to God, LIFELESS, unsaved, unbelieving non child of God, who does not have the Holy Spirit witness in himself and whose sins are not yet blotted out nor remitted. Regeneration before these things is an unscriptural, philosophical assumption (as is most of Calvin's followers’ nonsense) to cover up the Calvinist TULIP doctrine. Both regeneration and election are CONDITIONAL!

1. Repentance

2. Belief/Faith

3. Conversion

4. Turning to God

5. Having the Son

6. Having the remission of sins

7. True Holiness

8. Righteousness

9. Having salvation

10. Having the Holy Spirit

After much begging and many promises to take care of it, the Brown children were allowed to get a guinea pig pet which they named Paddy. As usual, Mother ended up taking total care of the neglected creature. So one day she call the children to her and told them that Paddy would have to go.

One would think that anti-hate groups from all across the
country would be marching on this business. And that the National Guard
might have to be called to keep the angry crowds back. But, perhaps in
these stressful times one might be tempted to let the proprietors simply
make their statement.



We are a society who holds Freedom of Speech as
perhaps our greatest liberty. And after all, it is just a sign.

Beware of the "Originals Only" cult

The Cult of the “Originals Only”

Definition: The Cult of the “Originals Only” refers to people who believe that ONLY the original autographs of the Word of God is perfectly inspired, inerrant and infallible. These people deny that Christians can have a perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant Bible TODAY in any tangible form.

Conservatives say the Bible used to be inspired and inerrant.

Liberals say it never was inspired or inerrant.

Both agree that the Bible is now NOT inspired, inerrant or infallible.

How true the above observation is. Christians who claim that they believe (or think that they believe) in the inerrancy and the infallibility of the Bible is in PRACTICE DENYING that the “Bible” they have in their hands is infallible and inerrant. They claim that God did NOT preserve the autographs perfectly for our generation of Christians. God had somehow inspired the “original autographs”, but subsequently decided to allow the “originals” to perish with time. AFTER the demise of the autographs, Christians are WITHOUT a perfectly inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God. Is this true?

Some scholars now claim that we “have” the “Bible”, but not quite a “Bible”; “inerrant” and “infallible”, but contain “scribal” errors and mistakes. They are claiming that the Word of God is truthful, and yet erroneous; accurate, and yet debatable; infallible, and yet capable of lying.

Alas, Almighty Jehovah had preserved an uninspired, erroneous, and fallible “Bible” for us all. The Bible says that “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8) I call this double-tongued speaking.


According to the “science” (1 Timothy 6:20) of textual criticism, the scholars will decide what IS the Word of God and what isn’t, what is fact and what is fiction. We, the laity, will be fully dependent upon the opinions of these men as to WHAT constitutes the Word of God - which verses are authentic, which words are true, and which verses or words are “scribal” errors. You will have a bible (which is not infallible or inspired, because it is NOT the originals), but the scholars will decide for you WHAT makes up that bible. You will have mistakes in that bible of yours, but again, you will listen to your scholar as to what constitutes reliable “scholarship”, and what constitutes “copyist” errors.

Your bible is your authority, but your scholar is the FINAL AUTHORITY. All hail the textual critic, the father of the contemporary bible and the savior of the Word of God (who lost the “originals” to father time). Mankind is forever grateful to thee for recovering the “lost words” of the “lost book” from “forgotten realms” and “faraway lands”.


If the “Originals Only” cult is true, and if only the originals are inspired, inerrant and infallible, then it would be logical and mathematical to derive the following conclusions:

1) Every manuscript, except the originals, is not perfectly infallible, inerrant and inspired. Remember, it's only in the original autographs that the Word of God is perfectly inspired, inerrant and infallible (according to these scholars).

2) All the currently available English bibles are just translations, and cannot be inspired and inerrant.

3) Fact: No scholars in the world, no matter what they believe, DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS. Hence, we do not have the perfectly inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God today in our possession.

4) Therefore, the bibles we have in our hands, the bibles we bring to church and the bibles the preacher uses in the pulpit are not perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant. This would mean that the bibles we use are indeed fallible and erroneous in certain places. This is because only the original autographs are perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant.

5) The manuscripts we have are "close" to the originals, but not the originals; therefore, these manuscripts are not perfectly inspired, infallible and inerrant. Therefore, any translations from these manuscripts cannot be inspired and infallible.

The above conclusion would lead to a couple of rhetoric:

1) Which part of the bible are we to consider "correct, infallible and inerrant"; and which text and verses are we to proclaim "doubtful, erroneous, and fallible".

2) If so, ACCORDING TO WHO?

3) If I am a heathen, and I want to read the Word of God to find the truth, where on earth do I find a perfect, inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God? (Sadly, some would have to "admit" that there is no perfect, inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God today.)

4) If we do not have the "perfect" Word of God, and if there are possible "errors" (it doesn't matter what kind of error you call it, be it "scrabbling errors", "non-essential errors", or "copyists errors") in our bibles today, WHAT IS OUR FINAL, ABSOLUTE, PERFECT AUTHORITY? Why believe in an erroneous quasi-inspired half-truth?

Finally, do we have a FINAL AUTHORITY?

Do we have the absolute Word of God to base our doctrines upon, or do we accept a whole range of subjective opinions from a variety of scholars and professors?

Did God preserve His Word?

Or did He not?

If He did preserve His Word, did He preserve it fallibly or INFALLIBLY?

Can His perfectly preserved Word contain "errors"???


At the end of the road, the “Originals Only” cult is left with NO perfectly preserved Word of God. All they are left with are their own preferences, opinions and theories. They will have no tangible FINAL AUTHORITY in the form of a book.

The Christians who believe that God had perfectly preserved for men a perfectly inspired, inerrant and infallible Bible will have the confidence that our faithful Lord had kept His Word.

These Christians will have a FINAL AUTHORITY in the form of a perfectly inspired, inerrant and infallible Bible. They will not have to rely on men’s opinions or preferences.

WHO AM I ??

Who Am I?

I was raised in one country but my father was born in another.

I was not his only child. He fathered several children with a number of
women. I became very close to my mother because my father showed little interest in
me. Then my mother died at an early age from cancer.

Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were
sketchy and no one was able to produce a reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith, but converted to Christianity because this
was widely accepted in my country. But I practiced non-traditional beliefs
and did not follow mainstream Christianity.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult before I
decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new
career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who
read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned
me as a child.

I became active in local politics when I was in my 30s and then burst onto
the scene as a candidate for national office when I was in my 40s.
I had a virtually non-existent resume, very little work history, and no
experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker
who managed to draw incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I
was critical of my country in the last war. But what launched my rise to
national prominence were my views on the country's economy.
I had a plan on how we could do better. I knew which group was responsible
for getting us into this mess. Mine was a peoples' campaign.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional
path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support.
I offered the people the hope that together we could change our country and
the world.

I spoke on behalf of the downtrodden including persecuted minorities such as
Jews, but my actual views were not widely known until after I became my
nation's leader.

However, anyone could have easily learned what I really believed if they had
simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. But
they did not.

Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the
truth.

Sack Lunches for our Military

Here is a heart warming story, enjoy.

I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned seat. It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps I will get a short nap,' I thought.

Just before take-off, a line of soldiers came down the aisle and filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding me. I decided to start a conversation. 'Where are you headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to me. 'Chicago - to Great Lakes Base. We'll be there for two weeks for special training, and then we're being deployed to Iraq.

After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack lunches were available for five dollars. It would be several hours before we reached Chicago, and I quickly decided a lunch would help pass the time. As I reached for my wallet, I overheard soldier ask his buddy if he planned to buy lunch. 'No, that seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch. Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks. I'll wait till we get to Chicago. His friend agreed.

I looked around at the other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked to the back of the plane and handed the flight attendant a fifty dollar bill. Take a lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my arms and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with tears, she thanked me. 'My son was a soldier in Iraq; it's almost like you are doing it for him.'

Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seat and asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or chicken?'

'Chicken,' I replied, wondering why she asked. She turned and went to the front of plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from first class. 'This is your thanks.'

After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane, heading for the rest room. A man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to be part of it. Here, take this.' He handed me twenty-five dollars.

Soon after I returned to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he walked, I hoped he was not looking for me, but noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my side of the plane. When he got to my row he stopped, smiled, held out his hand, an said, 'I want to shake your hand.

Quickly unfastening my seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand. With a booming voice he said, 'I was a soldier and I was a military pilot. Once, someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never forgot.' I was embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers.

Later I walked to the front of the plane so I could stretch my legs. A man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.

When we landed in Chicago I gathered my belongings and started to deplane. Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man who stopped me, put something in my shirt pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a word. Another twenty-five dollars!

Upon entering the terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their trip to the base. I walked over to them and handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It will take you some time to reach the base. It will be about time for a sandwich. God Bless You.'

Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of their fellow travelers. As I walked briskly to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe return. These soldiers were giving their all for our country. I could only give them a couple of meals.

It seemed so little...

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check Made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in This country who no longer understand it.'

BUILDING THE CHURCH

A misnomer for the church;
You can’t find it in the gospel

We wish folk might separate
The church and kingdom truth;
We crave it for the older ones,
Especially for youth;
The church the bride of Jesus,
And the kingdom for Israel;
When Christ will establish His kingdom,

The days are swiftly passing,
And the church-age soon will end;

I am thankful that my son had a part in freeing Iraq. Like my father and uncle during WW 2, and all the others who served.

Keep praying for all who seek freedom, and those who provide freedom.

Most important of all, rejoice in the true freedom we have in Christ.

God has shown Himself awesome in many ways this year. He continues to open doors and many opportunities to ‘lift up Christ’ and ‘bring glory to God’.

In September, we had our annual Missions Conference with Pastor Thomas Stastny from Trail, BC. We had an increase in our missions giving. It is wonderful seeing folks get involved in worldwide evangelism.

This November will be our second mailing of the “Gospel of John and Book of Romans” in Northern British Columbia. These communities will be receiving John & Romans in their mailboxes during the first two weeks of November. Please pray that the ‘seed’ will fall upon ready hearts.

Whoever heard of forewarning an enemy a hundred times to say, "We're coming! . . . We're coming!" That's how we entered Iraq, which seems rather foolish. Why not take out Hussein first, bury him with a pig, then warn anyone to follow him to smart'en up or face future? Today, we look the fool while losing credibility around the world. So to think seriously, will Iraq ever be a democracy? How long would that last? Viable reasons for keeping our troops in Iraq, emphasize that and maybe Americans would support it. Just imagine our old west Calvary spending years fighting Apaches, then proposing that Chief Cochise and Geronimo turn their tribes into a democracy. How foreign to them, foolish for us, and a failure to America!

Our American democracy seemed strong until our self-seeking people in power could not be trusted and then were granted a bail-out. So why would Iraq or any country want to copy our form of government? The epidemic today is for red-blooded heroes who have the integrity to be trusted. Without them, people will desire a man or a world or national leader to lead the way. With his few winsome speeches, we are on our way to socialism and an uncertain road ahead.

THE DEMOCRATS AND THE UNBELIEVABLE MORAL CHARACTER

In seems the Democratic Party has become determined to endorse evil, while missing the elementary basics of morality. Many Republicans have taken the same plunge. The "left" by definition is politically liberal. So anyone wanting to support for anti-God or anti-family legislation appeals to the left. What do the names Ted Kennedy, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton have in common? Each is to the extreme left. Yet their Party presumptuously has selected these people as key representatives even though they have far less moral character than the average person in your hometown.

How was immorality established into the Democratic Party? Through Ted Kennedy's Chapaquitic affair, we discovered a grossly immoral man. What happened? The left-wing refused justice and Kennedy became a lifetime senator. Mark that historic and deliberate choice to ignore his sin!

Bill Clinton was a liberal president and through the Monica Lewinsky case, partial-birth abortions, and the reprobation of special interest groups, there has been no question about his morality. What happened? The politicians on the left deliberately refused justice to hold him responsible. They preferred to assassinate the reputations of anyone trying to hold him accountable. With his ally in Al Gore, we find the tree-huggers and baby-muggers supporting the same agenda.

Now think! If the devil were to write his own manifesto for immorality, wouldn't those on the liberal left be the first in line to sign it? This record of theirs totally exhausts ones imagination for wickedness! They are without remorse and they intentionally resolve never to change.

Their companions. If we write Hitler, Mao Te-Sung, and Lenin on a list, in character, I believe Stalin fits that list. To write Bonny and Clyde, Al Capon, and John Dillinger, on a list, it would be appropriate to add Machine Gun Kelly. If the list reads Rock Hudson, Rosie O'Donnell, Greg Louganis, and Barney Frank, clearly Ellen DeGeneres belongs on their list. For Butch Cassidy, Billy the Kid, The Daltons, and Jack Slade, then Jesse James fits their list. It was not that a few old west cowboys had an occasional lapse in judgement and robbed banks. Crooks, thugs, and killers, robbing banks was their total way of life! They were problems to society, threats to the citizens, and fugitives of the law. Those people were guilty before men and guilty before God!

Applying the principle of association. The defining moments of the Democratic Party (and a large group of Republicans) were powerful to contest against righteousness, as if to say, "The devil with America! We are serving a lower power!" Ted Kennedy will not be indicted and prosecuted! The liberals deliberately embraced guilt and in principle have written their names onto his list.

When President Clinton stepped into office, he approved the murder of babies through partial-birth abortions. Granted was legal approval, medical approval, the public's approval, and even the shocking approval of certain women for the murder of their children entering the world. Note the hardening affect as Americans voted Bill Clinton into his second term of office. By association before God, their names are on his list.

Lucifer rebelled and the Lord threw him out of Heaven! Now as the devil, he resides in his confirmed state of evil. How similar to the liberal left being so polarized while repudiating the simplest levels of justice. Their sense of conscience is gone. Individuals may yet be drawn back to godly principles but the power-block of the party is lost to any sense of morality.

To remove "In God we Trust" from our coins, the Ten Commandments from our courts, and prayer from our schools, who is that catalyst for change? President Clinton granted nuclear secrets to China while his left-wing defense plan was like a teen wearing a skull on a belt buckle, not ready for suicide but so fascinated with death.

Meanwhile, we see the universities and much of the media busy brainwashing the public into this left-wing decadent philosophy. One party and much of America has lost it's conscience.

You can hear, "Well, as a Democrat I support their decisions but God knows that I'm on His side." In comparison, it was possible to ride with Santa Ana as he attacked the Alamo while having concern for Americans, but why ride with that crowd? Suppose a group came into town and started shooting the kids off the sidewalks. As it continues, would you appoint them as scoutmasters, Sunday school teachers, or onto the school board as the bodies fall all over town? Then why support an abortionist to gain your own comfortable economy, health care, or money for schools?

That's why Christians wonder at their Democrat friends to ask, "How can you . . . ?" That's why God warns, "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God" (Romans 14:12). It is my suspicion that when God judges child abusers and baby killers that even the redeemed will want to step back from the wrath of God.

Hopefully, people learned enough before the election to spare them from regrets for the rest of their lives.

And now, here is God's call to action and hope:

"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well" (1 Peter 2:13-14).

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 12 STEPS TO RAISE A JUVENILE DELINQUENT

1. Begin with infancy to give the child everything he wants. In this way he will grow up to believe the world owes him a living.


2. When he picks up bad words, laugh at him. This will make him think he's cute.


3. Never give him any spiritual training. Wait until he is twenty-one and then let "him decide for himself."


4. Avoid the use of "wrong." He may develop a guilt complex. This will condition him to believe later, when he is arrested, that society is against him and he is being persecuted.

Missionary Ed Butler

On Sunday, we had Missionary Ed Butler at Spruceland Baptist Church. The Butlers have been missionaries in the Philippines for 26 years. For 17 years they were in Roxas, and the last 9 years in Davao City.

BURDENS

The most senseless burdens are those of our own making. We live for the moment, and completely disregard the future consequences.


We eat too much, exercise too little, put all sorts of chemicals into our bodies. We let things slip, we fail to follow up. We take shortcuts. It all adds up and brings us down.


Yet, what you get yourself into, you have the power to get out of. There is always hope.
The same passion and energy that got you into the mess can get you out. It all depends on your focus. Is it on the next cigarette, the next drink, the next lover or the next century?


Life can be so much more. Taking the easy way out, is no way to live. The effort, the commitment, the discipline -- they are their own rewards. You cannot consume a great life, you must create it. There is no easy way out, because the effort IS the fulfillment.


Right this moment, you can rise above your self-imposed burdens, just by deciding to do
so, and by making the commitment to make a difference, in your own life and the lives of others. Put out the effort, every minute of every day count. Life is worth it.


Prayer: Dear LORD Jesus, you gave up so much for me. Now, guide me as I deny my wishes and above my self-imposed BURDENS for yours. - Amen.
