Dress Marine uniforms, and they looked so young! I was seated and they walked by quickly, but I got out a "Sir?" a bit loudly and one stopped. I held out my hand and asked, "May I take a moment of your time to thank you for our service?" He smiled as he reached out and took my hand. I shook his firmly and smiled back. His companion had stepped back. I reached for his hand and repeated, "Thank you, sir, for your service." May they carry that thought, and my prayer for their safety, wherever they go.
