YOU NEED A SAVIOUR

AUGUST 2

YOU NEED A SAVIOR.

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die."
 Ezekiel 18:4.

"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23.

YOUR nature is corrupt, and it needs renewing.

Your sins are many, and they need pardoning.
You cannot cleanse your heart or renew your nature.
You cannot atone for your sins, or
satisfy the claims of Divine Justice.

And yet, there is no admission to Heaven without holiness;
   for God's Word declares that
"without holiness, no man shall see the Lord."

There is no standing before the Judge of all,
or being acquitted by the God of the whole earth,
   without perfect righteousness.

Jesus can save you "by the washing of regeneration, and
the renewing of the Holy Spirit."

Jesus has wrought out and brought in a perfect
  and all sufficient righteousness,
which is placed to the account of every one
     that believes on his name.

You need just such an one as Jesus, and
 without an interest in Jesus,
  you must perish forever.
Sorrow for past sins is no atonement.
Amendment of life entitles to no pardon for the past.
Tears will never cleanse a guilty soul,
nor will reformation justify a sinner before God.

Beloved fellow-sinner,
you must be saved by Jesus,
 or perish forever.

Thy eternal destiny hangs on this,
hast thou an interest in Christ,
     or hast thou not?

You need him, but do you feel your need?

You may be saved by him, but are you?

He is willing to save you, but have you tried him?

Eternal happiness or eternal misery depends on this.

May the Holy Spirit shew you your need of Jesus,
quicken you to desire an interest in him, and
lead you to his feet to confess your sins
    and crave for pardon.

Come to Jesus, for you deeply need him.

Come, and he will meet your case.

"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners!"
                                               1 Timothy 1:15.
