Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
We must appear we have been told,
Before the Lord’s great judgment seat,
This is God’s order and His plan
That all the saved there He will meet;
It will follow saint’s rapture,
Saint of all ages will be there,
A tribunal for redeemed ones
Will be set up in the air.
This judgement is not for the lost,
But for those who’ve received the Lord;
Unsaved dead are judged much later,
Of that day we read in God’s word;
This judgment tests the works of saints,
If they be wood, hay or stubble,
Gold or silver, or precious stones,
Of latter, saints should double.
The judgment seat is essential
To determine the saints’ reward;
We are glad the judge is perfect,
He will be Christ Jesus the Lord;
Don’t be deceived, my dear brother,
Your life’s conduct will pass review,
The Judge will be just, impartial,
You’ll get what belongs to you.
If Christians are to live with Christ
In the thousand years of His reign
And be His chaste and spotless bride,
When back to earth He comes again,
And have not made preparation,
Ere the Lord descends to the sky,
There judgment fires will complete it,
In that great assize on high.
Let it be understood dear friend,
Salvation’s not in question here,
But soul’s reward of gain or loss
Is because you are summoned there;
Salvation’s forever settled
The moment the sinner believed,
But rewards are in the future,
May none ever be deceived.
