Doubt of Divine Willingness

Doubt of Divine Power

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

3. “If I may”

Doubt of Personal Fitness

For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:21

4. “If it be Thou”

Doubt of Divine Word.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

5. “If the Lord would make windows in heaven.”

Doubt of Divine Providence.

Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
